Lamb's Ear - Stachys Byzantina

Lamb's Ear (Stachys Byzantina) is an easy-to-grow ground cover plant that thrives in full sun to partial shade. This versatile plant can live under a tree, in areas full of rocks, shady spots, and other difficult terrain. Its soft, fuzzy, silvery leaves add an interesting texture to outdoor gardens. When blooming in late spring and early summer, the flowered plants attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.

  • Beautiful Ground Cover- Lamb's Ear, also called Wooly Betony, is a perennial herb in the mint family with pretty purple flowers and soft, silvery, woolly leaves. The drought resistant plants do not require much water and are perfect as ground cover, in xeriscaping, and in rock gardens.
  • Beneficial Herbs - With its silvery foliage and purple flowers, Lamb's Ear adds beauty to any garden, but it is also a very useful herb to have around. Its thick, wooly leaves have traditionally been used in wound care and other medicinal uses for their astringent properties.
